1. The Ministry of Economic Affairs amended the “Standards for Identifying Small and Medium-sized Enterprises”, as from June 26, 2020, the small and medium-sized enterprises which have completed company registration or business registration in accordance with relevant laws, and whose paid-in capital is less than NT$100 million, or regular employees are fewer than 200 people, the enterprises may apply for reduction of the patent annuity with Intellectual Property Office.
2. According to the said Standards, Intellectual Property Office has revised the relevant application forms on July 21, 2020. The enterprises who meet the qualifications can download the application forms from the website of Intellectual Property Office. Please click “Patents”/“Application Forms”/“Patent Application Forms and Notes”/“Application Forms for obtaining Patent Certificate and Deferring Publication” or “Application Forms for Annuity Payment”.
