In order to make the classification of goods and services more up-to-date, with reference to the latest trends in the market, a total of 468 items have been added and 14 items deleted, and 16 subcategories/group names or remarks have been added and revised after reviewing the names of goods/services designated for trademark registration (detailed in the attached table). The above changes will be implemented as of July 1, 2020. The “Designated Goods/Service Categories and Names” established by the trademark electronic application system will be updated simultaneously (the official update schedule of the relevant system information is subject to the announcement of the Information Office of this Office).
If the applicant wishes to use the “Fast Track Mechanism”, before applying for registration through the trademark electronic application system, please download the latest content of the change to avoid the difference between the designated goods/service names written in the application and the content of the electronic application system to meet the conditions of the “Fast Track Mechanism” and enjoy discounts on fees.
From now on, all category documents of “Names of Goods/Services Designated for Trademark Application Registration (New edition After Change)” can be downloaded from the “Classification Search of Goods and Service Names” of the Trademark Search System (https://twtmsearch.tipo.gov.tw/OS0/OS0303.jsp).
