According to the Pilot Accelerated Examination Program for Reexamination (AEPRe) in Taiwan implemented from September 1, 2024 to September 1, 2025, before the first office action of re-examination is issued, the applicant can request for an accelerated examination provided that part of claims is rejected in the initial decision of rejection. Neither official fee should be paid nor additional document should be provided.
Generally, the office action of re-examination or re-examination decision will be issued within 6 months after the examination is filed.
