In order to promote the research and development of green patent and accelerate the implementation process of product commercialization, starting January 1, 2022, TIPO will amend “Condition 4: Inventions related to green energy technologies” of the Accelerated Examination Program to “Condition 4: Inventions related to green technologies” to clarify the said Condition is not limited to “green energy technologies related” (including green technologies such as technologies for improving energy conservation, technologies for carbon reduction and resource saving). At the same time, the AEP filed under “Condition 3: The invention application is essential to commercial exploitation” and “Condition 4: Inventions related to green technologies”, the examination term of “9 months” will be reduced to “6 months” for issuing the examination results after all the relevant documents have been received for optimum Accelerated Examination Program.
